Snakeyes

Personality:  Snakeyes lives for the battle scene.  Though he is often put on patrol, he isn't as much chosen for his patrol skills as much as for he is for his muscle.  He often gets lazy on patrol, sometimes rushing searches or even falling asleep on the job.

Snakeyes generally only thinks of his own well-being, but makes an exception for Ace, who he has a strong bond with.  He felt very indebted to Ace for his training, and believes they both have a deep understanding of each other. For all of their similarities, however, Snakeyes doesn't retain the collectiveness of his counterpart.  He has quite a temper when pushed a bit.

Snakeyes fears very little, however, psychic types make him edgy.  They're the only type of Pokemon he will try to avoid conflict with.  His knowledge of Pokemon types isn't the most extensive, however, nor is his knowledge of attack type, so if something doesn't look like it may be a psychic type to him, he may not react.

Snakeyes doesn't kill or eat other Pokemon.  He brings them back to Ace as show of his work.  He's not entirely above threats, however.

Snakeyes has gotten in trouble several times for using Earthquake in the base, so he tries to avoid it.  However, he's not afraid to use it if the price is right.

Snakeyes is getting progressively annoyed with Ace's gambling urges.  In particular, he's become a bit envious of Ace's Clefable, Chance.  Snakeyes knows he could win most battles, easy, and knows all too well that Ace's recent usage of Chance has everything to do with the rise in risk involved with using Metronome.   Snakeyes still feels like what he and Ace have is a partnership and all other Pokemon should come second.

History:  Snakeyes was never really great at taking hits.  His memories of being in the wild mainly involve losing battles.  He got the 7-shaped scar on his back in an encounter with a hungry Fearow he very narrowly got away from.  He was mass-caught with other Ekans for Team Rocket, however, even to the Rockets he was seen as a weak Pokemon.  When Ace first saw him, however, he picked him right away, believing his 7-shaped scar to be lucky.

When Ace realized couldn't take too many hits, he worked around it and gave him a powerful moveset.  He proved to be an above-average attacker, and was able to take down most foes before they could take him down.  How Ace seeming made a 'weak' Pokemon a strong one didn't go unnoticed by his superiors, and is one of the reasons he's made it so far up Team Rocket's corporate ladder.  The two of them were a team, and Ace used to refer to them as 'two sides of the same coin'.

However, that didn't last forever.  As Snakeyes became more and more powerful, he saw the outside of his Pokeball less and less, particularly after he and Ace caught a particular Clefairy on the Mount Moon job.  It's recently occurred to Snakeyes that this is likely because using him is no longer a risk, and thus less exciting to Ace.  He tries not to think about it, but can't help feeling bitter.
